Looking to Buy the Upgraded Aakash Tablet -Wait till April May 2012
The much waited upgraded version of Aakash Tablet called Aakash 2 Tablet (or Ubislate 7 +) is expected to be launched or sold Online Only after April-May 2012.This information is shared by Dr D Purendeswari, Union HRD Minister for States.According to the information shared by the Minister that the New Aakash 2 tablet will be completely indigenous with built in India tab and is available at the same price as of Traditional Aakash tablet.
The major reason for manufacturing the Aakash 2 tablet is the lack features and various bugs in the Aakash tablet.According to a Senior Ministry Official that around 500-600 Aakash tablets were distributed to students for feedback about the Product.Most of the students who have used the product reported that the battery drained, Device hanged and Difficult to Operate.This is the reason as to why the Government is looking for an alternative of the Aakash tablet and has announced that the Upgraded version of Aaaksh tablet will be launched in April-May 2012.
A Few days back, Union HRD Minsiter Mr Kapil sibal pointed out that there is problem with the Original manufacture of Aakash tablet, Datawind and the company will no longer be associated or allowed to manufacture Aakash Tablet.The major reasons for Government to end the Aakash tablet project with Datawind are as under:
- Several Technical Disabilities and complaints by users on the Aakash tablet functionality.
- Another reason is the missing delivery Deadlines and providing reliable customer platform.
- In our previous post only we have discussed the Complete Procedure on How to Check Aakash Tablet Pre booking Status and in the Comments section we have found that many customers are repoorting Poor customer Services from the Datawind.
This is the reason as to why the Government is kicking off the Datawind from the Aakash 2 tablet Project and is giving the contract to Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) and ITI to produce a completely indigenous and much better product then the traditional Aakash Tablet.But Only time will tell Whether the Aakash 2 tablet will be a future or a failure.Till then stay tuned
